I moved to the Heights three years ago and along with all the things that have drastically changed in my life, my wardrobe is one of them. It’s taken me time to comb through the good boutiques and the ones not so great for my own life and now for yours. After much research and development, I present the top boutiques in Houston where you can find key items, unique finds, and all within your selected budget.
Emerson Rose – 350 W 19th St Suite B, Houston, TX 77008
Budget: $$
This is by far my favorite boutique in Houston. I shop there frequently and I rarely leave without finding something I love. In fact, most of my wardrobe is from this boutique. Their staff is super friendly and always helpful which is the main seller for me anywhere I shop. A boutique can have all the right clothing but a rude staff and I won’t support them. But this place isn’t like that. They also just opened a home goods store across the street. So if you’re visiting Houston or looking for new places to shop local, this is my number 1 recommendation!
Anjouil’s – MKT Square, Houston, TX, 77007
Budget: $$
I love grabbing a coffee at La La Land and stopping here to shop on my lunch hour. They always have the most vibrant colors for their items. They are more modern and trendy so at times their items will fit that if you’re looking to buy something in person versus find it on Shein. The staff are friendly and they can steer you towards a great item for your next event. I have purchased a handful of dresses from here that are beautiful and fit well, so if I’m looking for a new one, I will find it here!
Favor the Kind – Heights Mercantile, Houston, TX
Budget: $$$
This place has very high quality goods and clothing. I come here every few months when I am looking to snag a more expensive outfit that I know will last and will be a show stopper at anything I’m attending. They also have high quality workout gear. I’ve picked up three different tennis skirts and matching tops for this summer which have lasted through weekly wear and washes. So if you’re in a higher budget and looking for dresses, high quality leather goods, or home goods, this is your place!
Pomp & Circumstance – 2723 Sackett St, Houston, TX 77098
Budget: $$$
This boutique has some amazing and unique items that I’ve snagged the last few warehouse sales. This dress in particular was stunning with it’s butterfly sheer overlay. It’s definitely a pricier budget but they have very high quality items and worth a visit if you want to shop local but have designer quality clothing. They lean more towards brighter colors and looser fitted dresses that are very Texas style. They have a plethora of accessories and handbags that can fit any look and event as well. Stop in and check them out in River Oaks!
